My first writing teacher said “everyone is inlove with the writer’s life, but few want the life of a writer.” I must admit, there are a lot more days when I am promoting myself and becoming famous by posting to blogs and forums, participating in blog communities, and writing promotional articles, than there are days when I am enjoying the perks of being a writer.
Still, there is no other life I would like. Writing is in my blood. It is a passion. No matter how much work I have on my agenda - I need to set asside some time to write. I’ve heard these same sentiments from hundreds of other writers over the years.
However, there are ways to reduce the stress of editing and promoting, manage the inspirational drain of writing every day, and balance writing and family. I hope to share some of my secrets and help you become a better writer.
