Short Bio

I am a fifty one year old woman living with major mental illness, born in the Washington D.C. area. i have been a serious poet for a little over a year. I have traveled quite widely as my father was in the foreign service. I presently reside in Silver Spring Maryland, and enjoy writing poetry, painting, digi art, decorative art, collage, decoupage, and jewelry making.

Introduce Book

My book is a collection of poetry that I have written with a collection of 25 full color illustrations that I have done myself- either scanned paintings and collages or digi- art. I should be out anytime this month or in January. The poetry in this book as well as the illustrations tell how I cope with major mental illness through creativity, as well as other poems that tell of my love of nature.I love to read feminist poetry- my favorites are Audre Lourde, Adrienne Rich and Marilyn Hacker.
