May Showers

Right now it is raining where I am.

This might sound depressing, but it isn't. Sometimes I like rain. If I had gotten some things planted this weekend I would be loving it, but alas I didn't.

I like rain because sometimes you just have to be inside. Today I had to work the whole morning. My office is in a basement with no windows so it raining today made it easier to go to work. Not that I don't like what I do or who I work with, it's just sometimes hard to go to the basement.

The hallway I walk down reminds me of the movie Andromeda Strain.  Can't really put my finger on it. These are new digs for us and it is so cool because my last office was shared by three people and was right next to the morgue. Now I have an office to myself. For at least the time being.

Anyway it is raining. Since I haven't blogged in awhile it seemed like a  good day to do that, too.

So here I am. Blogging about a rainy day.

It's also good because I'm tired from our hike yesterday. Love to walk. Love to hike. We've found a new spot that's closer to home and we can go there more often. Especialy with the dog. he loves to hike also.

So my next big thing? I'm rewrting a thriller for Enspiren. Incendiary will be so cool when I'm done with it and I hope my fans like it.

Next up is Along Comes Pauly a romantic comedy out in 2010. A real departure for me, but I had fun.

Anyway. that's about it for me.

Coming Incendiary

I know exactly how you feel

I know exactly how you feel when it comes to using rain as an excuse to stay inside and write. When those first warm rays of spring come (I'm in Maine, so it takes awhile) the urge to go out and plant and work in the yard is so strong. I have to keep reminding myself to write and feel torn when I don't do as much as I should. Good luck with the projects. They sound interesting.

No rain here

Just blowing dirt while trying to plant vegetables!  I swear I ended up with more grit between my teeth than in the raised beds.  Who knows where the seeds are by now, she asked rhetorically.
